Try to remember a time when you were sick as a dog! Your throat probably hurt, your body was aching and you may have been running at the nose, maybe you were even throwing up! Now, with this in mind, really thinking about this experience, what was your outlook on the world? If you can't remember clear enough, you could visualize it, really put yourself there or simply remember this for the next time you get sick. If you have been able to identify what you actually felt like, in terms of motivation to get things done in your life, you'll find that your outlook on life is significantly different than when you were well. You'll notice that the reality that you experience, and even when you do that thing in your head that we all have the tremendous power to do (look in the future, in your head, before the future happens) is not the same as when you were in a peak state.
How do you look at the world when you are in a negative state or a bad mood? Pretty different right? It's hard to get motivated, you think there's no hope for certain things, you may even give up in something in your life entirely. Your thoughts are completely different, you focus primarily on what you don't want and you can't seem to go to far in your brain towards getting into a better state, it kind of just stops right? That said, how do you look at the world when you're in a positive state? When your mood is great, your feeling good in your body, things are going right for you in that particular moment and you feel like you're on top of the world. What's the difference in the way you look at reality? Doesn't there seem to be more opportunities? Don't you think in terms of possibilities, as opposed to thinking in terms of limitation? Of course! This is because whatever state you're in, dictates how you look at the world. There are many books out there that talk about the "secret to life," heck, even The Secret itself and while all of those things contribute to success, happiness and all of the other things we inherently want as human beings, my belief is that the real key to success and happiness lies in your ability to Number 1 have the awareness that you need to constantly be putting yourself in the right mind state, and Number 2, actually putting yourself in that state. I am going to be going into absolute detail, in the near future in upcoming articles as well as my EBOOK about how I put myself in resourceful states.
If you're not taught how to do something (change your state) or that it even exists, you never do it and in many cases, that's the case. People won't just teach you things that can help you to change your life, you have to seek it out. We live in a world of people who will tell you all types of things that won't help you, all kinds of stories and statistics that basically prove(unsuccessfully) the limitations of people and the sad part is, there are more of us believing that crap than there are people who are believing more and more in their own capabilities. So, needless to say, there aren't many people out there talking about changing your mind state, radically, to change your view on reality and therefore your actions. The quickest and most effective way of influencing and shaping your results in life is to have the control over your state at all times, and be able to get yourself into peak places in your mind and your body whenever you want. So, I want to run through a couple of powerful things that you can do to get yourself into a peak state. These are things that I do, every single day of my life, to influence the way that I feel, and thus my behavior, actions and ultimately, MY RESULTS!!
Positive Emotional Flood. Nothing new right? Of course not, this has been around for centuries! While I create new ways of effective human change, I am also here to spread the knowledge that has helped me so much in my life. A positive emotional flood is simply sitting down and thinking of all things great. This isn't positive thinking, I want to make the distinction. In an emotional flood, you create in your mind, the feeling of greatness by engineering mental images, sounds and feelings of things you want to have happen in your life, as well as things that have already happened that really put you in a great place in your head! One of the major contributors to true authentic happiness is having an absolute purpose in your life which you are moving towards daily. Thinking of that purpose, and creating that reality in your mind allows you to experience the emotions that come from it, all of which are positive emotions. Not only does that put you in state now, but that adds to your belief that you can get there, and helps to get you into the right psychology throughout the process of your goals.
Change your Body. Any change in biochemistry changes the mind. This isn't to widely practiced, but it's a fact nonetheless. Think about this for a second. You drink beer to change your mind, this is something happening physiologically. You eat to change your state, also physiology. You can get rid of tension in some cases by punching the crap out of a punching bag, also known as changing your state. So, any way that you can radically change your body, will radically change your mind. Put on one of your favorite songs, jump and dance to it in your living room and tell me if your state isn't changed. Drink a glass of water all at one time, and take 10 consecutive deep breaths after. Did you change your state? Of course you did, it's impossible for this not to happen biochemically. Recite your goals, out loud, in this manner! I'm going to give you, in this example, some of the things I recite daily: "I am going to reach as many people as I can," "I'm going to learn as much as I can about how to enjoy life on a large level," "Every day I move closer and closer to my ultimate goals!" While you say these things, engage your body in a radical way. Do things like Punch the Air and Clench your fist! Raise your voice in a meaningful way and develop a true passion for what you are saying. Can you remember a time where you were really passionate about something? What was that doing to your state? If you said influencing it, you're right!
Listen, your ability to control your state is one of the biggest determinants on where you will go in your life, and how you will feel on a consistent basis. Changing your state changes your reality, in a moment, because it changes the way you look at reality. Quantum Physics is now telling us that the very act of observing something, changes the something. The human mind is unbounded, but it can be limited based on what you've been programmed to think. So, if you change the way you look at reality, reality itself actually changes. This is the understanding that will change your life.
